There are two cell types in the body: Somatic and germ cells.
According to the current dogma. Genes are deaf and do not respond directly to outside signals. While myriad processes in the body interact only somatic genes are unaffected and deaf. They occupy a virtual bunker, which shields them from external signals.
Abscopal and bystander  effects are phenomena  observed following irradiation of the organism.
Signals of irradiated cells manipulate directly genes of non-irradiated cells, indicating  that their genes listen to outside signals and are not deaf. These experiments refute the current dogma of a deaf somatic gene.
